ABOUT
I've dedicated my life to serving the next generation through youth ministry. First, I had the privilege of being a youth pastor for 15 years. Then in 2007 I joined Christian Endeavor (CE) as Executive Director. For the past 17 years I've been honored to lead this ministry in the U.S. and globally. I’ve seen God do incredible things.
At the core of my work is a deep passion for mentorship and mobilizing youth toward Christian maturity and service. In my book, "Less Like Hippos ... More Like Honeybees," I delve into three critical aspects of effective mentorship:
-
Champion Them: Speak and act on behalf of the youth, creating opportunities for them to thrive.
-
Empower Them: Equip young people with the tools and confidence they need to lead and serve.
-
Motivate Them: Inspire and encourage youth to pursue their faith and make a lasting impact.
Hippos are known consumers. Honeybees are productive contributors. As an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College, speaking engagements worldwide, or at home with my kids, I strive to share these principles and inspire others to join this vital mission. I'm deeply committed to glorifying God as we unleash the next generation to be less like hippos and more like honey bees.
I have an incredible wife, Jen, and four amazing children—Katelyn, Ben, Kendra, and Zach. We have lots of laughs playing and coaching soccer, enjoying movies, and playing strategy games. We like to travel as much as possible and are die-hard Philly sports fans.
